What is D8?
D-8 Organisation for Economic Cooperation was formed under the leadership of Turkey at the Presidential Summit at Istanbul on March 15th 1997. The member states are Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
It aims to improve the standings of member states in world economy, create new oportunities and improve commercial relations of the member states, implement a platform for member states to ensure participation in decision making on a international level
and provide better life quality for the people.
